What to Consider When Choosing a Music Teaching Model
There are five main categories to think about when choosing a music teaching model:
- Setup: Consider the difficulty and complexity of setting up the model, the required investment, and the size of the potential student market.
- Operations: Evaluate the running costs, admin workload, and adaptability of the model, especially in situations like the recent COVID pandemic.
- Financial Return: Assess the potential profit and income, scalability, sellability, and potential sale price of the model.
- Income and Freedom: Determine the income potential, impact on work-life balance, and the ability to generate money even when you're away or on vacation. Also, consider the opportunity to diversify your income streams.
- Team: Decide whether you want to build a team or work as a solo teacher. Consider the ease of creating jobs and attracting quality teachers, as well as providing long-term career paths.
Each model in the document is evaluated based on these categories, allowing you to compare and choose the best fit for you.
Remember, it's okay if your current model isn't the right fit. Making pivots and exploring new opportunities can lead to more income, freedom, and impact.
