Incentivising Your Team to Help with Marketing
This lesson is all about a social media bingo competition with you and your team! It can help you save heaps of money on your social media, gets your whole team involved and helps you end up with more diverse posts.
All staff members are engaged in getting images or videos of different aspects of your school that they then pass onto a staff member who is in charge of queuing your social media posts, which are then on a rotation.
How it works
You can have a bingo board, which is given to your team members with types of photo or clips of the types of posts you're after (ideas below.) The boards should be up on a wall somewhere so staff can see how well others are doing and adding some social pressure.
You need to incentive your team as well with some prizes up for grabs. Having a personal and a team prize can work really well. Have a personal prize of cash or cinema tickets BUT if all the team members get it then the prize doubles for everyone!
Think about if you will allow people to do more than one board in a month, but then you want to put the people who complete them to put them in a draw to win a prize. This could be the cash that you have essentially saved from not needing to hire someone to do your social media plus getting more diverse posts!

You will need to have someone who collects in all these posts off your staff and then schedules them into your social media so the posts just keep rolling out so you don't have to worry about posting! You can also categorise your posts e.g. hero's of your school, student spotlights etc so you have a routine of posts that comes out through the week.

Ideas of what to include on your board:
- A clip of playing something cool/impressive on their instrument
- A testimonial from a student answering 3 questions
- Behind the scene clips e.g. setting up for an event, a new piece of equipment etc.
- Promoting an event or deal that you have going on
- Teach something on their instrument
- Student spotlight where they play something
- Heros of your school, getting some people’s stories from your team members
- Group photo (more than 2 people)
- Post in a community Facebook group sharing what's happening at your school, this can really help with growth!
